Why DeVass?
The name DeVass has deep connotations within the TTA lore – Dr Henri DeVass was the scientist who developed and perfected the DeVass Jump Drives that allowed humanity to undertake faster than light travel and expand out into the stars.
Without his innovations, humanity would never have made contact with our neighbours at Alpha and Proxima Centauri.
I felt that his name should be honoured with the name of the Terran shipyards that build and maintain so many of the iconic TTA vessels, and hence the name of this website and endeavour.

Who am I?
My name is Jon Tuttle and I’ve been making 3D things since somewhere around the turn of the century. From architectural visualisation, to editorial animation, at some point in the last 20 years or so I’ve done it. I’m in my mid 40’s. I’m not happy about this, but I had no choice.
My work has been featured in the pages of 3D World magazine (on two occasions, no less) and also in the art book ‘Exposé 10‘ published by Ballistic Publishing. I was contracted to model some popular London landmarks which were printed on and used to promote the Dremel Idea Builder 3D Printer when it launched in the UK a few of years ago. Oh, and I also did a tiny blink-and-you’ll-miss-it bit of work on a 3D printed part for a set of the wristblades used in the Assassins Creed film, and a background prop in the first season of the TV series Star Wars: Andor (bucket list item – I got to do some work for a Star War!)
In addition to my 3D work, I have also developed applications for the Oculus Rift (the original one) the Microsoft Hololens (version 1) and recently creating AR applications with Unity for Android tablets. I am a VR/AR and 3D printing enthusiast. Which helps.
